Code of Ethics

The Indiana Hospice & Palliative Care Organization, Inc. recognizes the responsibility of interdisciplinary services to patients and their families during the final stages of life based upon the principles of autonomy, beneficence, professional integrity, non-malfeasance and justice.

The Indiana Hospice & Palliative Care Organization, Inc., is dedicated to:

• PROVIDING the best service and end-of-life care possible to the patient and their families with an atmosphere of dignity and respect.
• PROVIDING end-of-life care that is equal to everyone and that admits and treats all patients in compliance with their individual physical, psychosocial or spiritual needs.
• PROVIDING end-of-life care that meets federal, state and local requirements and striving to achieve the ultimate in patient care.
• PROVIDING an organization that promotes awareness and provides continuing education.

This Code of Ethics is adopted July 18, 1997
